Meet The Team

In 2000, myself and Jason created Davenports, using my experience as a Tax Director to grow our brand. We’ve grown a strong team, teaching apprentice accountants and imparting my knowledge of Cloud Accounting, Tax Preparation, Business Planning, FRS, and Accounting. Since graduating from Oxford Brookes University in 1999, I’ve shown a strong accounting prowess that shows in the stature of our clients.

Scott and I created Davenports in 2000 in Oxford, and have grown our brand to include a strong team. We can safely call Bury our forever home now, and with that we have created many community driven initiatives. We have a slogan here at Davenports, ‘We’re serious about your business’. Although true, through my leadership you could take out ‘serious’ and easily substitute it with ‘care’, ‘passionate’ or ‘honest’, as that is who I am as a person. My core values can be found in every fibre of the Davenports business.

Being responsible for HR & Payroll here at Davenports means that for me, no two days are the same. I enjoy the variety and the challenges that my role offers me. Being customer focussed is a key element of my function as well as being as proactive as possible. Teamwork is of great importance within our business, and I have found it invaluable as I increase my learning and skills sets.

Since I started here at Davenports’ I have thrown myself in the deep end at every opportunity in order to learn and refine my skills on the path to becoming a fully qualified accountant. Everything I have done so far has exceeded all my expectations and I am thoroughly enjoying learning everyday where I can be proud of what I have done with the help of my family here at Davenports, who motivate me to work hard to show my capabilities.

I have now been at Davenports for a year and half. I have greatly enjoyed my time here with a great team and friendly atmosphere in the office. I am now Level 2 AAT qualified and am studying for my Level 3 qualification which I study at Bury College. On my weekends I enjoy gaming and cycling which keeps me healthy.

Since starting work at Davenports, I have thoroughly enjoyed coming into work daily and becoming part of the team. Everyday I am learning and developing new skills through dealing with a wide range of tasks. I look forward to further seeing how my work at Davenports progresses over time and feel that I am in the best environment for me to begin what will hopefully be a long and successful career in accountancy.

Since embarking in my recent journey, I've enjoyed myself immensely and felt very welcomed by the team. Since the beginning, every member of the team has been really encouraging and helpful to me as I work toward being a fully qualified accountant. I'm picking up knowledge every day to better my abilities which further motivates me to work to the best of my ability. I'm now pursuing my AAT level 2 qualification at Bolton College and I enjoy working out in my spare time to keep myself in good health because I believe that health is wealth.

Each day at Davenports brings something new to the table. Due to our varied client base, no two days are the same, this keeps me on my toes and allows me to continue looking for new ways and opportunities to exceed expectations. Being a designer at Davenports allows me to have the creative freedom to see your vision become a reality, with each passing day increasing my potential.
